We have a 7 month old wirehaired pointing Griffon, AKA- baby dinosaur. If she’s not covered in mud, she’s covered in water from swimming. If she’s not covered in something then she’s got sticks or grass in her mouth. I have a 2022 Toyota Corolla that I’m trying to save from her shenanigans and this thing has saved my car and my sanity. I’ve never had the water or mud soak though to my seat. I love that it still allows 1/2 my back seat to remain usable for groceries or for a person to sit. I also love that there is a hook on the outside edge to attach to the bottom of my seat to keep the cover in place when she jumps in the car. No complaints honestly, I love this thing. Now if you could come up with something to keep her man sized beard from smearing up the inside of my car window you’d have a repeat customer.Our dog has a hard time gripping this cover so she seems to struggle repositioning herself when we’re driving. It’s also very thin so we have to put a little blanket over the seatbelts buckles so they’re not poking her. I’ve found it a little difficult to get it to sit flush and evenly against the seats next to a car seat, but it’s better than nothingI purchased this to keep my dogs separated in my backseat for a long drive. What I didn’t realize is the way it’s designed it really needs a larger suv type vehicle for it to have the proper slack on the straps. I drive a Scion xB and it worked out alright but if your intention is to keep your dog on that side of the car and you do have a smaller vehicle I would look elsewhere.Installed in my truck. Transported my aunts 2 small dogs in it. One peed. The liquid never got on my seats. Whew. Removed and washed. Awesome.I bought this for my new 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. I have a dog who is fearful in the car, and so when we travel, she wants to be down in the footwell behind my seat, rather than on the seat itself. I've always used a hammock-style dog seat cover, but because she climbs down under it to get to the floor, her hair goes everywhere. The bottom six inches of each seat back have a carpet-like material and her hair sticks there like velcro. I've spent hours trying to get it off. It also gets all over the carpet under the rubber mats. After recently getting my car thoroughly clean of dog hair, I really wanted to find something to cover the entire surface. This was literally the only such product I could find. I was afraid to get my hopes up, but it fits beautifully, and stays in place, so I believe it will solve my issue. Only time will tell, but I'm very impressed with the quality of the material and the fit.Our senior lab loves his Kurgo half-hammock! He falls sound asleep on road trips now. We've tried other brands and types (non-hammock, full flat cover), which he would pace/slide around constantly. It seems that the half-hammock helps him feel more secure/cozy, which helps decreases his travel anxiety too. A happy, rested pup = happy pooch parents.This has worked great for almost 2 years for my crazy pumi. The position of the zippers are perfect to snap or buckle your dogs harness into the car.Put it in my 2019 F150. Dog likes it. Helps keep dog fur and stink to one area of the truck.This looked very promising, is good quality and relatively easy to install. The problem was, both dogs just jumped over to the other side the first time they got in, one smallish cockapoo and a medium labradoodle. We will go for a full length cover now.This was purchased Used in As New Condition from Amazon Warehouse. Never trust the Amazon folk to check returns out and accurately relist... When received the rubberised backing was split in several places and the item was covered in dog hairs. It appears Amazon staff do not examine returned items very carefully before repacking it and sending it out "As New"Impossible to recommend this item to anyone as returned immediately for a refund. The item looked as though it may work initially, but the splits and creases to the backing suggest the previous purchasers used it and decided it wouldn't take much more so returned it. Really disappointed as Kurgo products are generally great quality and in my previous experience are worth the premium price.Once it has been installed, it is then very straightforward to remove and re-install over and over. I feel that, as well as protecting the car seats, the hammock gives the dog a sense of security.One drawback is the size. I think this has been designed for American cars and, even though my car is quite large, the hammock still looks big. I think it would be a good idea to offer this hammock in a smaller size also, in order to better suit European cars.Bit fiddly getting the straps right as I imagine it’s different for each model of vehicle but once it’s in it’s a game changer.We only have a 3 door car so no back doors. Makes it a little more fiddly but does a great job. Dogs are calm and have their space, no fighting or getting in each other’s way.It's not ideal for fitting and we needed to adapt it slightly. Also it needs a flap to cover the side of the seat to protect it when the dog jumps in. Other than that it's great for the job, allows a passenger to sit by the side
